So when I was out in California, the last day we were there, I got a text message on my phone. The text was from Real Magic TV, and read, "Hey! I'm sitting down with Teddy Geiger right now. If you'd like him to call you, text back Yes. First person to text back wins the call!" We were in a cartoon art museum at the time...I kinda laughed at first, read it to my mom, and finally said "alright, what the heck, why not?" So I texted it back, and sure enough, a minute later my phone starts to ring. I had a terrible signal inside the museum so I was trying to keep them on the line until I could get outside. I'll let you listen to it yourself. :] There's a video of it online. They edited a lot of the "huh's" and "what??'s" out. haha
But anyway, here it is!
I'm the second phonecall, about 3/4 of the way through.

Butterfly
"you landed on my mind"
Ginga just posted a blog with some pictures of a butterfly. And funny, I took some pictures of the same type yesterday. haha So I figured I'd post some too :)
I was able to get up close to it, because it had rained and I think it had gotten wet so it wasn't able to fly at the time.

A Little Bit Longer
I just wanted to do a quick post about a new album
The Jonas Brothers released their new record today, entitled A Little Bit Longer.
It's really great! They've gotten more mature in their sound, and I'm just really impressed. Maybe I'm impressed because they're adorable and I just like anything that they do, but whatev. ;]
The title track, "A Little Bit Longer", is written by the youngest of the brothers, Nick, about his battle with Type 1 Diabetes. It's incredibly touching, and watching him perform it live is amazing. It really is a very emotional song and he brings that emotion to the crowd every time. I posted a video of that song after this next one...
I think my favorite song as of now is "Love Bug"...it's a lot different from what their normal sound is. Check it out.
Nick Jonas-"A Little Bit Longer"
He does a bit of an inspirational speech in the middle...
Check out the album.

California Part 2...&more
**EDIT** video link @ the bottom
I've been super busy, and haven't been able to get around to doing this...
But anyway! Here I am!
Day 3 of California we spent driving all the way up the coast to a little place called Crescent City. We first drove over the Golden Gate bridge, and took pictures at the end of it. It was foggy and cold, but wonderful. We started driving up 101 which is a little more inland, and we decided that we really would just love to see the coast. SO...we drove over to CA1 and drove all the way up the coast pretty much on there. Lemme tell you, this was a slightly scary experience at first. Here in Florida it's all flat, nothing special. Out there, we're on the edge of a cliff where a few hundred feet down is the ocean and on the other side of us is a huge mountain with signs that say "rock slide area". I didn't quite understand that...I mean, what if there WAS a rock slide? There's nothing you could really do...your choice is get smashed by the falling rocks or run off the cliff and fall into the ocean. Kind of a lose/lose situation if you ask me. Nonetheless, that drive was the most beautiful drive I have ever been on. I loved it. We stopped in a couple of the little towns along the way, but there wasn't much. We stopped in Mendocino, where we went in to a little grocery store and got some bread and clam chowder for dinner. It was delicious. :] We stopped a little farther down the road where there we were actually at sea level where there was a beach. We walked down to the water and put our feet in the Pacific Ocean (which was freezing of course). It was so relaxing, just being on a quiet beach where there were only a few people. Shortly after that, we saw a helicopter going down to get water to fight fires...it was really cool. By this time, it was getting late in the evening and we really needed to get going down the road. It started to get dark, and when it gets dark it gets foggy. It was kind of scary driving on those winding roads in the darkness and fog. We finally made it to our hotel at around 10:30pm, after driving for like 14 hours. It didn't feel like that long, because it was a gorgeous trip.

Another thing I've been up to lately, is I went to a music camp for 2 weeks. I learned how to play drums! It was really awesome. I had never sat behind a drumset before in my life before last Tuesday, and I picked it up really quickly. I had a lot of fun.
:] and that's my drum teacher to the right.

California Part 1
I had an incredible time on my trip!!
I'm gonna post stories in a few separate entries, cause it's a lot to say...haha
So we flew out there late on Saturday night [the 13th]. We got in around 11pm. The next day we didn't have a car yet, so we took the BART train in to San Francisco. We walked around Union Square for a little bit. There was a Macy's there that is as big as the one in New York City...I didn't know that. It was like the exact same layout. I saw a homeless guy with a cat that he had just thrown on his back as he walked along the street...it was a funny sight. The cat was just so chill. So then we took a double decker bus to Pier 39. It was awesome out there. The weather was warmest that day out of the whole trip [well, along the coast at least], but it was still very pleasant-around the low 70s. We spent a long time down there, just looking around shops and things. There were only about 5 sea lions down there that day, which was kind of disappointing, but we read that it's because this time of the year is when they go south for mating. Eventually we got tired and decided to head back. This time our transportation was a cable car. We knew we had to ride one if we were in San Francisco at least once. :] We rode on the back, and I hung off the side a bit. It was really awesome.
Here's some pictures for today.
Stay tuned. More to come. :]

4th of July Weekend
This past weekend was awesome!
It started out on Thursday...We went to the Teddy Geiger meet&greet/soundcheck and then left to go to the Simple Plan thing. We got there and found their merch table, where their friend Pat was. We knew him from back in the video shoot days too. haha We asked him if the boys would be coming out, and he told us to just wait by the bus when they got done playing. So, we watched them play [which was awesome, as always] and then made our way towards the bus while the fireworks went off. The stage was in the middle of a lake, so they were stuck out there until the fireworks were done...giving us plenty of time to make our way to the bus. haha When they finally got over there, they were all really excited to see us, which was amazing. I love those guys :]
After we left, we got to the hotel around 12:30...and had to get up at 3:30 to drop off the car and get to the airport. We were on a plane to Boston at 5:10.
When we got up there, we drove over to Hampton Beach, NH to see where the concert the next day would be. It was packed, due to the 4th of July. So we left and stopped at this little ice cream place down the road. We asked the lady how to get in to Boston for fireworks, and she told us how to get to a train station to get there. So...this was an adventure for us. There's not much mass public transportation in Florida. We got in to Boston fine, and got to the place where they do the big fireworks celebration...It was packed. Over half a million people there. We asked a lady what time fireworks were, and she said 10:30...it wasn't even quite 9 yet...we decided we couldn't handle that, so we left. Mind you, we had been up since 3:30am and traveling all day.
The next day, we went over to Hampton Beach for the Plain White T's show. :D
The guys were amazing as always. They're really some of the most genuine people you could ever meet. We talked to all of the guys, and told them we'll be seeing them in Oregon next week. I got Tom and Tim to agree to ride rides with me at the fair there. That should be fun. :] Tom is working on a Jonas Brothers meet&greet for my mom and me and the show in California we're going to next week. We'll see if he can pull it off. :]
The next day, our plane was delayed so we got stuck in the airport a little longer than planned.
When we got back to Orlando...We picked up the car, and there were at least 5 or 6 police cars outside. We asked the lady that worked there what was going on, and she said she didn't know. As we were pulling out, one of the police officers walked up to the car and asked me the weirdest question that I have ever been asked:
"Do you guys have anybody in your trunk by any chance?"
...no lie. and he actually looked.
great end to a great weekend.
